Grants to Oregon nonprofits, qualified tribal and governmental agencies, and public school systems for programs and projects that benefit low- and moderate-income individuals and families. Funding will be provided for proposals that focus on the areas of community development, education, human services, and arts and culture. Priorities for each of these areas are described below.

Community Development - Wells Fargo supports the improvement of low- and moderate-income communities through programs that:

- Create and sustain affordable housing
- Promote economic development by financing small businesses or farms
- Provide job training and workforce development
- Revitalize and stabilize communities

Education - Wells Fargo supports K-12 institutions and related organizations that:

- Promote academic achievement for low to moderate income students with a focus on math, science, technology, and literacy
- Provide training for teachers and administrators who work with low- and moderate-income students
- Encourage school partnerships with parents and guardians, the local community, and the business community

Human Services - Wells Fargo considers requests from social and human service organizations that work primarily in low- and moderate-income communities to:

- Provide basic needs assistance
- Ensure access to health education programs and quality health care
- Offer child care services

Arts and Culture - Wells Fargo also considers requests from organizations that help enhance a community's quality of life through arts, culture, or civic projects, and other activities that provide diverse opportunities for a community's residents.

Wells Fargo makes contributions to organizations with tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the USA Internal Revenue Code, as well as qualified tribal and governmental agencies, including public school systems.

Please note that Wells Fargo is unable to consider grants for the following:

- Individuals
- For-profit entities, including start-up small businesses
- International organizations
- Political action committees, candidates, causes, and lobbying
- Labor, religious or fraternal groups
- Community and family foundations and single-issue or cause-related foundations
- Equipment requests, including computer hardware or software
- Marketing activities
- Sports/athletic group activities
- Hospitals
- Vehicles
- Film or video projects, including documentaries
- Travel-related expenses, including student trips or tours
- Promotional merchandise
- Capital campaigns.

If your organization meets Wells Fargo’s eligibility requirements and fits in with their philanthropic goals and objectives, you are encouraged proceed with the online application. Only one grant per calendar year per agency will be considered; please do not send multiple requests throughout the year.

In order to be considered for funding for the current year, applications will be accepted January 3 through September 30. Applications submitted between October 1 and December 31 will not be accepted. Only one grant or sponsorship per calendar year per agency will be considered.

Please submit your request through the online application; requests sent via USA mail, email, by fax, or through a Wells Fargo team member will be returned.

You will typically be notified of our decision no later than 120 days after your fully completed application is received .
