Grants averaging $500 to Oregon, Washington, and Idaho schools, school districts, and teachers for science-based curricula and projects for 4th-12th grade students focusing on water science restoration, involvement, and educational activities. Projects and curriculum must include stormwater or wastewater educational components, as well as a wastewater treatment facility tour or a presentation from a local wastewater or stormwater agency.

The Adopt-A-School program was established to support water science activities by students in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho who are working toward clean water education goals.

Estimated Size of Grant:

The average funding level is $500 per application/applicant and will vary depending on the number of applicants and funding level requests.

Term of Contract:

The Curriculum/project must take place during the 2020 calendar year.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Teachers, Schools, School Districts in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho are eligible to apply for activities involving 4th – 12th-grade students.

Pre-Application Information:

Applications for the 2020 calendar year must be submitted by 2:00 pm PST on January 21, 2020. Award recipients will be notified by January 10, 2020. Funds will be distributed by February 15, 2020.

PNCWA will provide contact information for the applicant's local wastewater/stormwater agency if unknown.
