Grants of up to $5,000 to USA, Canada, and International nonprofit organizations, including (but not limited to) science centers, K-12 schools, and universities for STEM education outreach programs. Proposed programs and activities should focus on raising awareness about, and interest in, optics and photonics.
Applications are judged on:
Sustaining Grants: Organizations that have received an Education Outreach Grant twice in a period of five years, can only apply for further support through a Sustaining grant, which will be for a maximum amount of $2,000. There is no limit to the number of times an organization can apply for a Sustaining grant, but it will be in competition with all other proposals each time it applies. Requests for the Sustaining grants should use the same application form as the Education Outreach grants.
