Eligible applicants are those operating or serving tourists in Tillamook County.

The Marketing Renewal Grant offers local tourism businesses an opportunity to implement a new or revised marketing plan, collaborate with business partners, conduct a tourism promotions campaign, and work as a cohort with other tourism businesses. The cohort model offers guidance from business development, tourism, and marketing coaches. TCCA, TCVA, and other business and marketing experts will help guide, review, and recommend elements of your marketing plan and implementation. The cohort model also creates business opportunities and fosters inventive ideas and better storytelling, all essential to successful tourism marketing and promotions.

    Estimated Total Program Funding:

    $200,000

    Estimated Size of Grant:

Applicants may submit a maximum request of up to $20,000.

    Term of Contract:

    - Cohort meetings begin: January 11, 2021
    - Grant project completion deadline: January 31, 2022

If COVID-19 and state guidelines create timing or restriction obstacles to marketing, there will be a review regarding extending the deadline for project completion.

    Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Tourism-related businesses in Tillamook County are urged to apply. While nonprofits may also apply, restaurants, lodging, recreational fishing, fishers/seafood businesses, farmers, tour guides/outfitters, retailers, and other private tourism businesses will be given higher priority, the leisure and hospitality industry has taken the hardest economic hit.

Applicants must operate in Tillamook County or serve tourists in Tillamook County and be a business or non-profit engaged in tourism activities.

If you have received COVID relief funds, such as PPP or EIDL, businesses are still able to apply for this grant. There are no restrictions in that regard. Because half of the funding comes from transient lodging tax, by law this grant is restricted to tourism-related businesses and organizations.
