Grants ranging from $20,000 to $50,000 and grants starting at $50,000 to USA schools, agencies, Indian tribal organizations, nonprofit organizations, and agricultural producers for programs to increase access to local foods for eligible schools. Applicants are advised that required registrations may take three weeks to complete. Funding is intended for training, supporting operations, planning, purchasing equipment, developing school gardens, developing partnerships, and implementing farm to school programs.
USDA considers the following priorities for FY 2020:
There are three funding tracks available for FY 2020: Farm to School Planning grants, Implementation grants, and State Agency grants (new).
