Grants to Oregon nonprofit organizations, individuals, and local government agencies in eligible areas for projects that provide cultural benefit to the community. Funding is intended to increase participation in local heritage, humanities, and arts programs. Priority areas of funding include the environment, community arts projects, education, heritage, and traditions. Eligible projects must benefit residents of Tillamook County.

The Coalition uses the following priorities, identified by county citizens, to select projects to receive funding:

  • Education: Projects relating to cultural education in grades K-12, and the greater community.
  • Community Arts: Projects relating to a county-wide cultural event.
  • Heritage: Projects relating to documenting history or restoration.
  • Environment: Projects relating to open space and natural beauty. 
  • Traditions: Projects relating to traditional arts and food culture.

Estimated Size of Grant:

Individual grant awards have ranged from $600 - $4,000.

Term of Contract:

TCCC awards are made by December 30 each year. Projects or programs will be completed by December 31 of the following year.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Grant applicants must:
- Be an individual(s), a nonprofit organization, or a governmental organization (an organization must have a registered headquarters within Tillamook County).
- Be a resident of Tillamook County, if an individual.
- Maintain a registered headquarters in Tillamook County, if an organization.
- NOT benefit only the organization’s members or adherents.
- NOT propagandize or otherwise attempt to directly influence elections or legislation.
- NOT request funds for on-going operations. TCCC funds may not be used to fund salaries, but funding may be available for project-specific contract positions.

Pre-Application Information:

The deadline for applying for grant funding is November 20th, 2020, 5 pm PST.

Important Dates:
- November 20, 2020 – Final complete grant applications due by e-mail. (one complete PDF)
- November 27, 2020 – You will be sent an email from TCCC acknowledging receipt of your application by EOD November 27, 2020. Please ensure you reply to acknowledge and confirm receipt of it. TCCC is not responsible for lost or misdirected applications.
- December 9, 2020 – Applications evaluated for award.
- December 30, 2020 – Successful 2021 grant applicants notified. Grant monies will be available January 2021. (Note: All grant applicants will be notified whether they receive a grant award or not.)
- July 31, 2021 – Mid-year reports due by e-mail (Note: If your grant is funding for an event and the event has occurred prior to July 31, you may omit the Mid-year Report and submit the Final Report by July 31.)
- December 31, 2021 – Final reports due by e-mail.
- January 5, 2022 – Unused funds returned to TCCC

Supplemental Materials (Optional):
Supporting documentation could include items such as posters of past events, programs, print media articles, photographs, and booklets/books. Supplemental materials are to be submitted (1 hard copy only) no later than November 20, 2020.
