The club runs the food bank and has a massive food share event during the Christmas holidays. It supports fellow residents when emergency needs arise. Association (LOYTBA) was formed in 1995 in an effort to provide competitive programs for boys and girls in grades 5-8 feeding into Lakeridge and High Schools. 4th graders were added to the program in 2013.In the 2021-2022 season the program consisted of 23 teams and and approximately 230 players. GOAL OF HUG PATROL IS TO PROVIDE EMERGENCY RESPONDERS THROUGHOUT NATION WITH A SUPPLY OF NEW, UNUSED STUFFED ANIMALS TO HELP EASE PAIN AND FEAR OF CHILDREN IN TRAUMATIZING SITUATIONS. THROUGH DECEMBER 2020, WE HAVE PURCHASED 3,044 STUFFED ANIMALS. DISTRIBUTIONS STARTED IN 2015, AND WE WERE ABLE TO DISTRIBUTE 2,554 STUFFED ANIMALS FROM 2015 THROUGH 2020. DONATIONS FROM PUBLIC OR OTHER ORGANIZATIONS ARE WELCOME. WE PURCHASE HIGHEST QUALITY, NEW STUFFED ANIMALS FOR THIS PROGRAM.
